All Raw, All Natural, All David Campbell! | PlanBig

Well Hello Again, Yes I know it has been a little while since I popped in. Just wish I had even more hours in the day that I asked for previously.

Woud like to introduce you to my latest project - All Raw, All Natural, All David Campbell. All Raw, All Natural, All David Campbell! PlanBig

I capture moments for everyone else, and thought it would be nice to do something for me, just for me!

Last March I had this strong desire to capture David Campbell no make up, no stage lights, no costumes. Just David, raw and natural. Capturing his differing personalities.

So I have put together a plan, as well as having made contact with David's producer, Richard Carroll and having spoken with David himself last August.

It would be a dream for me to see this to come to fruition. All I ask of you is to log in using your Facebook details or logging in, and clicking 'like' and also leave a comment or supportive message on the plan wall. Help me make a photographers dream come true.

Home and Abroad

I was approached a little while ago to capture another family shoot for a gorgeous and loving family. One of the daughters lives O/S in England and was coming over to visit. But wanted to take some family memories home with her to lessen the distance between them. We spent a lovely couple of hours in the Adelaide Botanical Gardens. Everyone loved what we captured and I know the shots on the disc that made it's way O/S are very Treasured. Thanks to Jade and Carly for allowing me into your lives.

About to Become Big Brother

Gorgeous little Lukas at the tender age of 10 months, became a big brother only 2 months later, as well as celebrating his first birthday (I will blog this aswell.)

Meet Master Logan

This little man was only 10 days on when I got to spend a couple of hours with him.
Such an alert little boy he was too. Made capturing the shots we wanted a challenge. That is why I go into every new shoot with no preconceived ideas on what we are going to achieve.
I also had the pleasure of being Master Logan's Mumy and Daddy's 2nd shoot photographer at their wedding. So have a close bond with this family.

Far and Wide

Another family shoot, just before Christmas, so the discs made great pressies, and the shots were going as far abroad as Singapore.

This family wanted shots done of all the sisters while one was over from Singapore (no she isn't singaporean just resides there).

A Mother, her three daughters (one with hubby), and four grandkids.

The weather was perfect and the location allowed for a couple of different backdrops.

The kids were well behaved and all had a good time. We even roped two local surf life savers into the shoot aswell.

A Mothers Love...

Recently got to capture some fun and loving moments with Lyn and her boys. It was a lovely morning, even dodging the showers. The boys were great fun to work with, and if I ever need boy models I certainly know who to call.

For the Love of the Game

I had the pleasure of capturing a very lovely family in one of the favourite locations last weekend, Alberton Oval, Alberton, South Australia.

Heather, Brenton and their 11 year old twins, Reece and Chloe are big Port Adelaide Magpie fans, so for their family shoot they decided to walk across the road literally to have them done.

Brenton had one a gift voucher I had supplied as a sponsor to one of our local cricket clubs for their quiz night.

Reece was your typical boy, not into smiling and being all mushy, but I did manage to get some lovely shots of him, while Chloe loved the camera and almost seemed a natural.

I had ideas for photos, but like to let the subjects have just as much input. I think this can work well. I think for a freebie shoot we did have lovely time. I did a quick slideshow preview on the back of the camera and they were happy with what I had captured.

Early On

Thought I would blog one of the first shoots I was asked to do. It was a christening, which to me was going to be challenging, for a couple of reasons.

1) It was in part an inside shoot, which I was extremely concerned, I had only really shot outside and 2) the godmother of the little boy being Christened is an extremely accomplished photographer and short film maker. To me there was no greater pressure. Yes, I was extremely nervous.

Beach photos were fine, no dramas, as Mum and Dad had their wedding photos at this particular jetty, they had created their own tradition of having family shots done there every year.

Onto the church, more family shots with extended family, then inside for the ceremony itself. A very pretty little church. I was nervous about shooting inside, as I didnt want to set the camera to auto, and have the flash going off left, right and centre. So I found myself with a mixture of shots and I did use the flash on occassions. All the while wondering what others where thinking.

I wasn't unhappy with what I acheived that day, but do look at every session as a learning curve. I think we need take something from every session that we shoot, to improve.

Fairy Wings & Teddy Bears

Labour day long weekend, I had a mini escape and jumped on a plane headed for Whyalla.

I was going over to stay with my girlfriend, her hubby and their gorgoeous 5 month old baby girl. The same baby girl I was fortunate enough to capture when she was only 3 days old.
There was no way I wasn't going to take the camera over with me.

I had a lovely relaxing weekend, and got to share it with a very happy smiley little girl. Considering I hadn't seen her since she was 4 weeks old, we soon became best friends again, I have always called Miss Abbie my other little girl.

I wanted to capture some lovely shots for Mum and Dad of their little girl. It came to me that I wanted angel wings, and panne velvet, so was down at Spotlight when it opened Sunday morning. I had so much fun with this little girl, and I know Mum and Dad loved the pics I took too.

I have only posted two here, but have more showing on my facebook business page...please feel free to have a look.

Biker Baby

I couldn't resist taking this shot. My little girl Audrey (22 months old) wearing her brothers bike helmet. So cute. All she wanted to do was put it on and ride around on her little 3 wheeler trike.

My Interstate Escape

Last week my two gorgeous kids and I jumped on a plane headed for Canberra, to catch up with my Brother, Sister in Law and my Nephews, their cousins. We were there for 4 and a half days.

We had the house and the first two days to ourselves, before the weekend, which we got to spend all together.

I had no real plans, except to try and see Floriade and of course take plenty of pics of the kids. Well I definetely succeeded with the later.

Got to see Floriade, but sadly not the chance to take pics. Bit hard wrangling two kids and stroller, and everything else associated when travelling with kids, oh and of course the camera bag.

It was a lovely break away from home, although extremely tiring. But the kids had the best time. We don't get to see my family very often, so like to make to the most of it when we can.

Claire's 40th & Costumes

I know this is a little late...but HAPPY BIRTHDAY Claire.

About a month ago we celebrated the 40th of this gorgeous lady. I was told no pressies please, just bring your camera, and capture everything for me.

It was a fantastic night, lots of fun and lots of laughs. A great variety if costumes too.

Claire I know you had a fantastic night, and hope my photos let you relive your 40th over and over again.

Fast Food & Fancy Faces

Yesterday Master Ryan and I had a ball at Miss Eleni's 4th Birthday party which was celebrated at Hungry Jacks with fast food, face painting, balloon animals and party bags.

The guest of honour was the first to have her face painted, and she looked so gorgeous, 4 little girls lined up waiting patiently, and one little boy, Master Ryan. I was so proud of him though, it was the first time he had ever had face painted. I actually think my little man has a harem of girls already....

The kids all had a ball, face painted or not....the funniest thing was when the kids took to a poor unsuspecting in the playground with their balloon swords...it was priceless, and lucky for us the other older boy was playing along.

Ryan is now like, Mummy I want a costume party at Hungry Jacks, with a face painter...Buddy, you still have 6 months to make your mind up.

Peas in A Pod

Well, of course I couldn't resist throwing in a couple of shots of my own. My gorgeous children. The photos of them were taking as they were sitting against the fridge.

I can't remember exactly how they ended up there, most likely playing with something, but she just started hugging and kissing him. It was so sweet, and went on for about 20 mins so it gave me plenty of time to capture some of it.

I really love the differing shots amongst them, but think the fridge made a good neutral backdrop, and the light seemed favourable. It was such a loving, beautiful moment, and one that I am so glad I managed to capture.

To Have and To Hold

Recently I was invite to a friends wedding, which is an honour in itself, but she was also happy for me to be there with her, taking photo's, along side the photographer (a good friend and colleague of mine), Carly Hack, who had been booked to capture the day.

I was there early enough to capture the goings on in the morning, and the girls, before they were all frocked up, so captured some of those early getting ready shots, before the Carly arrived. But then also sharing notes and ideas once Carly had arrived. The shots you see on this blog are all mine (ones I have taken), not those of Carly's.

I know the bride loved having two different sets of photos. Yes, some shots may have been similar but from different angles, but having two photographers there captured different perspectives.

We shot at the Bride's house, the ceremony location and then also headed into the city to the Uni, where we used the Cloisters and the Uni footbridge.

I loved being an invited guest, but also love being a small part of the day itself, helping capture Megan & Sean's Treasured Moments of their wedding day.

Pure Innocence

After capturing my girlfriend in full bloom, I then had the sheer joy of capturing the pure innocence of a two and half day old gorgeous little girl called Abigail.

She was the most delightful little girl. So tiny (yes you do forget how tiny they are) and so delicate.

Leeanne & John I thank you so much for allowing me to capture what I know have already become such Treasured Moments...of this first days of Abi's life.

I look forward to capturing her life for you as she grows up into a gorgeous little girl, and beautiful young woman.
